Tre Pol & Pen is a thoroughly modern Cornish farm shop, restaurant and destination all wrapped up in one, nestled on a hill, beside an ancient stream, in the heart of the Tamar valley.
Working together with the Tre Pol & Pen team, we helped bring their brand proposition and online presence to life. This has helped them transform from a new business enterprise to a successful award winning ethical farm shop and destination attracting over 1000 visitors per week more than forecasted, all within their first two years of opening.
Co-creating a vision
Early on in the project we worked through a series of strategic co-creation workshop immersive exercises with the Tre Pol & Pen team, to develop their overall purpose, vision and values. Together we identified the various different customer audiences, exploring their needs and desires along the different end-to-end engagement journeys. The various market trends, audience insights and observations captured from these exercises went on to inform our Tre Pol Pen brand, e-commerce website and on-going marketing strategy.

Defining a conscious brand with purpose
It is the combination of the three elements of their name - home, water and earth that underpin Tre Pol & Pen’s brand purpose that they are ‘the key to a life well fed’ in mind, body and soul.
Our Tre Pol & Pen brand embodies this brand purpose, reflecting the history and importance of 'place' in the gathering of people, sharing and celebrating fresh local food, craft and flavour within the landscape.
Process
Building an online e-commerce presence
We created a simple yet intuitive shopify e-commerce website, designed to introduce, engage and immerse the consumer. Future proofed with an easy-to-use and fast checkout experience, to fulfil the businesses online consumer sales objectives and increased demand in the future.
Engaging a deeper sense of connection
To emotionally engage the senses and enrich the customer experience we created an authentic story dialogue rooted in the spirit of place, through illustrations. These were applied across a wide range of multi-sensory brand touch points, from animations on the website, packaging in the shop, staff aprons and signage, through to the menus in the cafe.
