Chatter pioneers conversational experiences for brands and their customers, enabling personality at scale in an increasingly automated world.

We worked closely together with Chatter helping them to successfully launch their revolutionary personalised holiday voice search experience app, Skdadl. The app enables holiday makers to search for, book and enjoy their perfect UK holiday cottage using an Amazon Alexa device.

Since its launch, Skdadl has received five star ratings as an Alexa app skill.

Alexa open Skdadl

Naming an app for an Alexa skill is not quite as easy as it sounds; considerations needed to be made regarding the name as only one word invocation names were accepted. It also needed to be catchy, clear when spoken and easily understood by Alexa, so inspired by the friendly language used in cartoons such as Scooby Doo, we came up with the one word invocation name ‘Skdadl’ - Skedaddle - meaning to depart quickly or hurriedly, run away.

Personality at scale

Inspired not only by the new innovative technology, but also by the unique opportunity to connect with people, building relevant experiences in personal and meaningful ways. We created a friendly brand with a bold colour palette and an approachable tone of voice to appeal to the identified broad user audiences.

 

Embracing the new

In addition we created advertising concepts for roll out across Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram and a simple mini website.

 
 

By embracing voice assistants, brands can be authentically involved across the whole of the holidaymaker journey, harnessing the power of organic search content to achieve visibility at scale.
