2024 in design: a year to remember
Fairy lights are up, Christmas jumpers are on and our team are looking forward to a thoroughly well-earned few days off for the holidays. We hope you're in a similar mood.
As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to thank our clients, partners, and community for giving us the opportunity and inspiration to continue to do what we love.
This year, we feel privileged to have collaborated on incredible projects that pushed the boundaries of brand and digital design.
Looking ahead, we’re on the cusp of launching some incredible work that we're excited to show you in 2025, so stay tuned.
A sense of place
Pentewan Sands is a five-star Holiday Park in Cornwall occupying an enviable position on their own private beach and has been owned & run by the same family for 80 years. They retain a unique sense of community and personal connection with their guests, many of whom have returned to the same spot for decades.
Responding to change, since the lockdowns of 2020/21, they have attracted guests seeking a more independent, active holiday experience ‘on the beach’ and ‘on the water’ and continually invest in the facilities including EV charging.
The team at Pentewan approached us to help them reflect the evolving desires and expectations of their guests and their passion for providing an exceptional, five-star guest experience in their digital identity.
The commerciality of brand
Have you ever pondered the monetary value of your brand identity to your business? It can be as hard to quantify as it is valuable.
But what makes it so valuable?
This topic was put to our founder, Tess, during an interview which tapped into her wealth of experience educating fellow founders and business leaders on the commercial importance of a brand identity.
We published a 3-part article which talks about the relationships between a brand's identity and business success and summarises the many factors involved and parts of a business that it's brand effects.
Nurturing your connection to nature
The Tremayne family and its descendants have owned the land on which Heligan Caravan & Camping Park sits for 400 years. Sheltered by majestic oak woods with open views across the countryside to the sea, it is part of a large estate that includes the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
The team at Heligan had both a website that was quite old and provided a poor mobile experience, and a belief that the uniqueness of their proposition - the specialness of their place - wasn’t being communicated clearly.
They sought our expertise to crystallise their proposition, develop the visual style of their communications and produce a new website which would improve the online booking experience and comprehension of what Heligan Caravan and Camping Park offers.
