Inspiration in design

We don't know about you, but it feels like 2024 has flown by! Time truly flies when you're having fun.

Taking stock of how far we've travelled with our work this year, both literally and figuratively, was a great way to ground us and a reminder of how lucky we are to lend our expertise to some brilliant people and businesses.

Exploring ‘type is image’

The photo above was taken by our founder, Tess, on a recent visit to Munich where she paid a visit to Die Neue Sammlung – The Design Museum and Paula Scher's 'Type Is Image' exhibition.  A truly immersive and massively inspiring experience, read Tess' account of her visit here.

St Martin's based Scilly Flowers called us towards the end of last year looking for a quick fix on a piece of seasonal print. Considering the constraints of the situation, our advice was all they needed at the time to get over that hurdle. Impressed by our candour, we got back together at the start of the year and developed a working partnership that has come full circle - via an evolution of their brand identity - to an all-new iteration of their annual winter mailer.

Like many of our clients, boutique Wealth Management firm Taylor Money came to us for a new website and benefited greatly from our brand experience. We added incremental value to the project by evolving their brand's visual style as part of our design process. The result is a clean yet powerful style encompassing their website and printed materials.

Pentewan Sands approach us with a broad brief encompassing all 3 of their brands: Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, Heligan Campsite and The Seahorse. We identified the need to help them do a better job of 'selling' The Seahorse: how special the views are from the upper floor, the high quality of the facilities and the food and drink. Our design process took inspiration from the colours, shapes and senses across the guest experience, extending the brands' established style into a more premium offer.
